Interests: This is a good project for people interested in cars, working with their friends, and gaining exposure to power tools.

Skills: Teamwork!

Time Requirements: If you're interested in leading this project, we ask that you be willing to contribute 2-3 hours a week. If you're looking to participate by yourself or with a group of friends, we hope that you stop by at least one drop-in hour a week.

What are soapbox cars?

A soapbox car is an engine-less vehicle and a great place to begin learning about the basics of cars! You'll have the opportunity to get your hands dirty and showcase your creativity while building these neat little cars.

How Do I Get Involved?

Don't worry, there is no experience necessary! Come and join us in the garage and we will help you get started. We are currently stripping down and rebuilding old lawn mowers. These mowers will act as the frames of our vehicles for our race at the end of the school year.
